RIVER OF LIFE

In the middle of the night, I heard a baby scream
And when I turned to the sound1 I found it was only me
Now it's time to stand alone,
Say goodbye to the child in me.
And I'm riding down this river
Riding down the River of Life.
There's a mystery at every turn that keeps me alive
And even though the water's cold...

I keep riding, riding, riding (to the next stop)
Riding, riding, ridinq down the River of Life
Riding, riding, riding (to the next stop)
Riding down the River of Life.

As night gives into day, I push all my fears away
I stir them into the water,
And they fade to a drop in the grey.
         And my childhood memories,
Remind me to keep my wits about me.
And I'm riding down this river,
Riding down the River of Life.
There's a mystery at every turn that keeps me alive.
And even though the water's cold.....

I keep riding, riding, riding (to the next stop)
Riding riding, riding down the River of Life.
Riding, riding, riding (to the next stop)
Riding down the River of Life.

Love seems to come and go
Luck seems to ebb and flow
         changes surround my every turn.
And we can't hold on to something that's not our own
One by one we search for home
         All joined yet all alone.

And I keep riding, riding, riding (to the next stop)
Riding1 riding, riding down the River of Life
Riding, riding, riding { to the next stop)
Riding down the River of Life.
