August 19th, 2001 Manning, Iowa The 1st Annual Harmony In The Fields Festival
Thanks to Spinout Records artist, Brian Joens, there is another great music fest in the Midwest, which will be going on every summer. For this first festival, Brian snagged artists that he knew, mainly from the Spinout Records roster. On the bill, besides Brian and myself, were Four Shillings Short, Gild, Erik Koskinen, Jake LaBotz, and Becky Barksdale! Most of the following pics are compliments of David Kusel of Manning.
Brian Joens kicked off with his great folk music at 1 pm sharp. The crowd was appreciative and loved their local boy!

I missed Jake and Becky, coz I had to get back to Omaha. Here's Jake doing his Chicago Blues. Jake's another Spinout artist who just so happens to live in L.A.!
And Becky Barksdale rocked and bluesed out the audience for the rest of the fest! She and I havent seen each other in about a year, and were laughing at how we have to travel to Iowa just to hang out!
