"Let Me," written by Andy Cain, was one of the many songs that was recorded by my first band with me actually singing LEAD and being comfortable with it! We called ourselves the Truth as well as a few other names. The main guys in the band, Andy, David White (original bass player), and Pride Hutchison (brother of my co-writer of "There You Go!") all came out here from Tulsa, OK to play with Phil Seymour, since they all knew each other back home. After Phil's band kind of went south, the 4 of us put a band together until I went on tour with Charlie Sexton, and then David went back to Tulsa. When I got off the road, we re formed with a few different bass players, but the main guy was Gary Neal, who was just awesome as a performer and a person!!!! This tune was recorded after we had broken up, but Andy invited me to sing on the track! I LOVE this recording, I LOVE this song, and I LOVE the players! (Miss you guys!)
