Bad Dream
words and music Ché Zuro & Jan King
from "Orphans"
listen!

Bad Dream was written by Jan King and myself when we had the band "Puss 'n' Boots," an all girl hard rock back which was put together in the late 80's!!! Jan and I wrote a ton of songs during this time as well as when we were in some other bands together, and I thought that this would be a good song to record in Paris.

recorded in Paris, France
tracked and produced by Jean-Marie Hauser

BAD DREAM

Half moon in a midnight sky, listen to the wind in the trees.
Was it you I heard calling my name, or just a memory?
Now I know it's just a dream, but I can feel the pain.
I tell myself I'm safe and warm, but I still feel the rain.
I wake up in a sweat
The tangled sheets are cold and wet.

You came back in a bad dream, tears were in your eyes,
You came back in a bad dream, to say goodbye.

I remember that look in your eye, and your cold and icy touch.
Baby when I asked you why, was I asking too much?
I never thought I'd see you again
Well, how could I know this would never end?

You came back in a bad dream, tears were in your eyes,
You came back in a bad dream, to say goodbye.
You came back in a bad dream, tears were in your eyes,
You came back in a bad dream, to say goodbye.

All those sleepness nights, almost more than I can take
And I spend the darkest hours, waiting for the dawn to break.

You came back in a bad dream, tears were in your eyes,
You came back in a bad dream, to say goodbye.
You came back in a bad dream, tears were in your eyes,
You came back in a bad dream, to say goodbye.
