In the late 80's I went to France with a 3-piece all-California-girl group and performed a few lip-sync shows (which were VERY popular over there!). (I played DRUMS, by the way!) The man who hired us was a famous drummer producer named Cerrone, and we were to back up his latest muse, a girl named Robey (who was also an actress on some TV show that was shot in Canada!), but Robey ended up not showing up for the tour since she was already under contract for this television show. We ended up doing the songs anyway, with the bass player from our all gal band singing the lead parts and pretending she was Robey! It was a hoot and alot of fun because there would be 20 different bands/musical artists traveling all together to these various shows around France, and each group would lip sync their 1-3 songs and then the rest of the time we were partying!
Some of the people that I met on this tour flew me back to France later that year to record my own stuff, so I spent a month in Paris with the Hauser family enjoying their company, learning more French and recording my songs! This version of No Turning Back has an extra verse tagged onto the first verse!!! It's a re-recording of my song from "Critters!"
