august two

we are back from our tour to the california mid state fair and back! and it was a BLAST!!!! i think you saw our view from our hotel... pretty wild. woke up to another busy day on the runway! tee hee...





tisa catches up on work stuff and i catch up on my reading while we both catch some rays...



then off to a jaunt around santa maria where we found this cool sign!



our gig at ghostriders tavern was fun!!! and then, the next day, we were off to paso robles...





tisa wonders if she's been fired and who the heck is replacing her for the mid state fair gig??!!!??



we play our music to the great crowd!!! (thanks to dennis harvey for the great pics!!! AND the roses!!!)













afterwards, we walked around and check this out, our favorite ride.... !!!

stopped at the madonna inn for dinner (no pics, sorry, coz they would have been hysterical!!!!) and then on home, with the full moon shining on the ocean.... (you can KIND of see it....)

isnt he just adorable???? star, angie's other kitten whose pic i posted on this very website last year, is STILL a kitten, but much bigger. here are star and dexter playing....

our gig last night at the coffee machine was FUN! thanks to all of you who showed up to support us and hang out! it was fun to meet davids kids, who are here from england, and i am sorry that i didnt have my camera with me! :( BUT m isty DID, and sent me these..... (thanks you!!!!)







no gigs this weekend (kind of glad, sorry fans!!!!), so i can actually catch up on some stuff, including the announcement of the release of ORPHANS!!!! woo hoo!!!!!!

another gig, more pics, and once again, thanks to dennis harvey for taking these.... i think you might be now considered our official photographer as well as out set designer.... (thanks for the roses!) what a FUN place universal bar and grill is!!!! we love playing there, and will be back in september, but not til the 20th because of already being booked or being out of town! how did monday nights suddenly get so busy???? hmmmm... anyway, some pics!

i was downtown and saw them putting up the billboard, and we all (the designer, the photographer and myself) were all giddy about seeing it.... i haven't seen it completely up, but here are the guys installing it, in downtown l.a.! cool, huh???





and i have a dexter update.... he had a little ear infection, and was crashed out from antibiotics so i thought i would take a pic of him in bed.... tee hee...


p.s. don't forget to watch HGTV's "weekend warriors" tonight and see my friends brie and dave darling change around some of their home along with my pal marc danzeisen!!!! (8pm pacific time on HGTV!!!)

friday the thirteenth

careful today, if you see a black cat that crosses your path, it might just jump into your blankets and make itself at home! :D tee hee...



HGTV last night was great! brie and dave and marc and mary, too, you all were fab!!!! it was fun watching people you know on tv being the same people you know (versus acting!)!!!

did a solo gig at a very cool little place called the brass elephant in monrovia, california, on monday evening, and the place was rockin!!!! thanks to dave and ellen for putting together this weekly acoustic-ish hang with alot of great music and fun!!!! here are some pics, thanks to dave clarke for snapping them!!!! i got there and hung out with kelly for a few minutes before she left!

more wow... i made tisa listen to the grand canyon suite while we drove through the park and stopped at almost every view area, which was alot of fun!!!!







we spent the say driving around and seeing the sites, and then drove into flagstaff. the wildflowers were all in bloom, almost like spring instead of the soon to be fall, and we saw lightening and heard thunder in the distance. i guess this is the season for the awesome lightening storms!!!! we arrive in flagstaff at the mogollon brewery! woo hoo!

the gig last night was really alot of fun, thanks to all of you who came out in the rain to see us, we really appreciate it! and what a fun place it was!!! here we are on stage...

august twenty-one

wow, did we have fun yesterday, friday... drove to (where?)...


and saw alot of really cool things on the way from arizona to new mexico!!! like, the meteor crater in az, which you have to see to believe!!!



then when we were leaving the crater museum, we saw this really cool trompe l'oeil... check it!



stopped in winslow, arizona...



look at the beautiful painted desert!



interesting rock formations on the way to farmington (already in new mexico by this time, and it was gorgeous driving through the navajo indian reservation!!!)



we arrive in farmington only to find che's barbie kitchen in our little backstage area!!! woo hoo



we take to the stage after a big lightening storm, and the thunder thunders on! (it was fun!!!)





little did we know that there was a navajo couple that just got married and were celebrating at the three rivers, so we played for them and had a blast!!! congrats to april and john williams!!!





then....we drove to durango and check this out...the security on horseback! we ARE in the wild west!!!



it rained a bit...

tisa and i then went to discover a little bit of durango!!! here is a cool sign/clock from downtown...



then we went to check out the durango and silverton railroad!!!

august twenty-six

we have been back from the tour for a few days and finally feel like we are caught up! we even gigged last night at brennan's which was fun fun fun!!!! but i wanted to post some pics from the last day of the tour.... our friend brian showed up at the festival!!! so we had lunch together before we left for the long drive to l.a....


he gave us a great route through the navajo nation to get to flagstaff, and what beauty!!! we also got to go to four corners, where you can stand in four states at the same time (colorado, new mexico, arizona and utah!!!), so we took some pics!



here we are in four states!!! i am standing in colorado and new mexico with a toe ALMOST into arizona, while tisa stands mainly in utah with toes in colorado and arizona!



this is the view of the four corners monument where you can have your pic taken, etc....



had to take a pic of the reservation, but mostly we were just driving in awe of its beauty.... what a great trip....



now back to our regularly scheduled lives....

last night's gig was alot of fun, thank you bruce for putting together such a great songwriters night!!! and thanks to my peeps who came out to hang, thank you dennis for the roses (they smell soooooo amazing!!!!), and thanks to jeff for sending this! (my earrings courtesy kim spruth! :D)


not much going on right now, just performing and getting back to normal after driving to and from colorado (where it snowed last night, i might add....). tisa and i have a few more gigs this week, and then i am going to pennsylvania for some solo shows and some r and r and some fun with the family! looking forward to being in my beloved pennsylvania again, riding the trail, hanging with friends and family.... and i love it at this time of the year, although the sparkle bugs might be already gone.... talk later! xo
